Funke Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers are typically named with the "FP" or "FPS" series. They belong to the category of detachable plate heat exchangers and play a crucial role in numerous industrial sectors due to their high flexibility and ease of maintenance. The device consists of a series of perforated corrugated metal plates. The plates are sealed with rubber gaskets, forming independent fluid channels for the hot and cold media. The entire plate assembly is clamped within a frame between fixed and movable plates. Adjacent plates are assembled in opposite directions at 180°, forming a mesh-like flow channel. The hot and cold fluids flow counter-currently across the sides of the plates in their respective channels, achieving efficient heat exchange through the plate walls.
