Parameter

The TRANTER Gasketed Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger consists of a series of embossed metal plates with gaskets arranged alternately. The PHE Plate is bolted between the end frames, forming channels for the flow of hot and cold media, achieving heat transfer through the plates. When the liquid flows counter-currently in the channels between the metal plates, the temperature of the cold liquid rises, and the temperature of the hot liquid decreases. The TRANTER PHE velocity profile and induced turbulence cause dirty product deposits to be continually removed from the heat transfer surface during operation, thereby reducing fouling. In most applications, SUPERCHANGER heat exchangers are more efficient than traditional shell-and-tube heat exchangers. They can pack greater than 22,000 ft² (2,044 m²) of super-efficient heat transfer surface in a single unit with flow rates up to 25,400 gpm (5,768 m³/hr). They use only 10-50% of the space required by shell and tube units and are much lighter in weight. And, they cost less.

Wide-Gap plates offer 2 to 5 times the stretch depth of conventional plates, allowing coarse particles and fibers to pass through unimpeded. Suitable for viscous fluids or solid and slurry applications. GCP high-and low-NTU plates feature an innovative fluid distribution zone design, ideal for steam and viscous fluid applications. UXP series plates offer a variety of thermal lengths using traditional herringbone or V-shaped corrugated patterns.
